So it's off to the Cathedral dedicated to the Archangel Michael and some lesser known Saint called Gudule of Flanders. We pause for a brief spot of contemplation and prayer (very brief) before having a laugh with a man who pretends to be some dignitary in the photos of Prince Albert's wedding. For all we know this 'dignitary' is the actual King of Belgium but we get the gist of the joke and chortle along.

Distinct lack of handsome young men to take our photo outside, so, in almost perfect French, I ask a young black woman if she'd be so kind.

"Sure honey !"

is her immediate response, and she manages not one, but two pictures of the intrepid duo, this one actually in portrait rather than landscape.

I would like to point out that in this picture, Sue is the one holding the map. This is a very important piece of pictorial evidence that needs to be noted before we go on to the next chapter of our story.
